LAKE HARTWELL IS DOWN 17.6 FEET, 70 DEGREES AND CLEAR BY TIM WHITE to RAPALA
PRO STAFF
Bass are hitting top water baits as they chase bait fish to the
surface. X-Raps and Crank baits are also working, but lake levels
will continue to drop off and boating across this lake will get
worse. Lake levels continue to drop and clubs are finding it hard
to find ramps that are open. Some good rain fell last Wednesday
and Thursday, but not enough to make any major difference. If you
can still put in at Portman Marine, you will find pretty good fishing.
Now might be a good time to do some maintenance on your boat and
fishing tackle.
